Safety Relay SAFE-ESTOP – Emergency Stop Monitoring up to SIL 3 / PL e
The SAFE-ESTOP from SALZ Automation is a universal safety relay for monitoring emergency stop circuits and protective equipment in machinery and industrial plants. The TÜV-certified safety module is suitable for single and dual-channel safety applications and meets the requirements up to Category 4, PL e according to EN ISO 13849-1, as well as SILCL 3 according to EN IEC 62061 and EN 61508.
The module enables reliable monitoring of emergency stop buttons, mechanical safety switches, non-contact safety sensors, and safety devices with OSSD outputs. Thanks to integrated short-circuit, cross-circuit, and earth-fault monitoring, faults are reliably detected, and the safety function is continuously guaranteed.
For maximum flexibility, the SAFE-ESTOP supports both automatic and manual start. Additionally, a feedback circuit is available for monitoring external contactors or expansion modules. The cyclic self-monitoring of the output contacts ensures maximum operational safety in industrial use.
The safety relay features three safe normally open contacts and one auxiliary normally closed contact. Thanks to its narrow design with a width of 22.5 mm, the module can be space-savingly mounted on DIN rails and easily integrated into existing safety concepts.
