Safety Relay SAFE-DELAY-10S – Emergency Stop Monitoring with 10-Second Delay Off
The SAFE-DELAY-10S from SALZ Automation is a safety relay for monitoring emergency stop circuits, safety gates, and safety sensors with a fixed safe delay-off of 10 seconds. The module combines instantaneously switching safety contacts with delayed switching safety contacts and is ideal for machines where system components need to run down or be braked in a controlled manner.
In the event of danger, the instantaneous safety contacts are switched off immediately, while the delayed safety contacts remain active for 10 seconds. This allows for controlled termination of processes such as brakes, overrun controls, or other safety-relevant operations.
The safety module supports the evaluation of emergency stop buttons, mechanical safety switches, non-contact safety sensors, and safety devices with OSSD outputs. The integrated short-circuit, ground-fault, and self-monitoring ensure maximum operational safety and meet the requirements up to Category 4, PL e according to EN ISO 13849-1, and SILCL 3 according to EN 62061.
With its compact width of 22.5 mm and DIN rail mounting, the SAFE-DELAY-10S is optimally suited for mechanical engineering, conveyor technology, packaging machines, and industrial automation systems.
